My understanding though is that both the Camco and the Star Brite brands of that product are restricted in Canada now.

Amazon.ca says it can get me a gallon by tomorrow. This may be a dumb question but,,,my 3607 has 3 35 gallon potable water tanks that live under the aft cabin bed along with a 10 gal hotwater tank. (The aft holding was removed and replaced with a potable water tank). If I were to add the Cleaner/deodorizer thru the external water fill port would it work its way thru all 4 tanks?

Hard to say depending on how the PO configured the changes they made to the system. The original config would have had two larger tanks (55 Gal, approx) with the "fill" hose split feeding both. So you could put in a cleaner/deodeorizer in the fill and it would migrate to both tanks. Then the water heater would fill with that when you used the onboard pump and opened some hot water faucets..

Curious if the PO removed the 55 gal tanks and replaced them with smaller 35 gal tanks? What are you doing with all that extra space??

I also use exclusively shore water. I use the CAMCO water filter at the boat connection and a hose specified for drinking water.

That said, over the years of using drinking water hoses daily, I have found that all brands I've used deteriorate, especially in the hot sun, and eventually start leaching chemicals that you can easily taste and smell (even with a filter!), thereby requiring replacing the hose. Some brands of hoses have only lasted a couple months, whereas some may last a year or so. Sad thing is that while all these so-called drinking water hoses often have a multi-year warranty, the cost to return them is more than the cost of a new one. I've found that the easiest solution is the West Marine Drinking Water hose since they will replace at the store when it "fails".

However, unlike the OP's comments, I've not seen the water go cloudy from these hoses, just the presence of chems via the taste and odor.

You need a proper hose. Those white things they sell everywhere are good for a season or 2. You need an Eley hose, had mine for several years and still looks like new even though it is fixed to the dock. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. https://www.eleyhosereels.com/products/ ... arden-hose
