Yes, please post your progress and like it or not, we will give feedback. Personally, I have a sneaky suspicion
That after all the time and $$$ you put into this project, when all is said and done, you start kicking yourself with the sad realization you should have listened to us from the beginning.

The only thing I will add is that I've been around several boats that have been wrapped and I can say that in every case the wrap was damaged in several places due to various reasons. It's usually not something you can simply buff out. When that happens, it looks bad, especially black on white. The worse case in my experience was one that was completely wrapped in black and after one season it looked bad enough that the customer ended up having it all removed. After the expense of applying and removing, he would have been better off painting it instead. Something you should keep in mind.

Granite and marble are a nice touch, just keep in mind that wet feet (common on a boat) on marble can be very slippery. I don't know how much is involved here or how thick both products are but the additional weight it will add is something you want to keep in mind as that can affect how your boat sits/rests, runs, milage, etc.

Viper has some very good thoughts. I have a buddy with a black wrapped boat and he already has some dings on it and as mentioned, can’t be “buffed out”. Personally, I didn’t like the looks of the boat the first time I saw it.
My buddy bought the boat used, maybe 15 years old and I went with him to pick it up and move back to our home port, maybe 50-60 miles. When we picked it up, it already had a ding or two and we nicked it again just backing it into his slip at our marina. Something tells me, you will not be a happy camper the first time you damage your wrap almost to the point, you will be afraid to even use the boat, so as not to damage it.

Yep....fenders and lines rubbing in the wind etc.......seen it on colored hulls, really obvious, unlike the white, but that they can be easily buffed/ cleaned up , though.

Is it possible that certain marine wrap can be waxed or lightly buffed to remove smudges and light booboos.....I wonder if there are different qualities of this wrap material ?

It’s not smudges and light booboos Viper and I are talking about. Nick a piling and the wrap itself gets a small (or big) rip and in the case of a black wrap, 95% of the time, there is white hull underneath and it sticks out like the proverbial sore thumb.

I hear ya, totally agree, I know exactly what you are talking about , just adding some other things that maybe have not been considered and wondering if there is marine wrap that is tougher is all.

I haven't seen ANY wrap yet that stands up to even regular wear and tare, minor scuffs, etc. on a boat, not to mention shrinking in some cases, delamination, especially in transitional/curved areas such as inside corners. And heaven help you if they do a terrible job. I've seen some, they look great 50 feet away but get up close and you'll see just how bad some installs can be. I'd consider pricing out having it painted instead and go from there but that's just me. Having said that, if you get tired of the look, at least you can easily remove the wrap, paint, not so much!

Look, do what's going to make you happy, what makes her uniquely yours. A happy owner that enjoys his/her vessel the way they like it is all that matters here. If there are regrets later, deal with it then, in the meantime, enjoy her.
