This mornings view is not what I had in mind

They still haven't got the ice breaker in.......looking like it will be May something around here, a painfully short season for us. People are golfing in Southern Ontario now and boats are going in.

-10 this morning. The forecast keeps calling for warmth and sunshine in the long run but they are wayyyyyyyyy off from reality when the day actually arrives. Still have a good 2' of snow in my yard.

Hans I agree about the forecasts....a number of times we have cancelled working on the boat because of the forecast change. Going to try again this weekend , fingers crossed.

We are seriously thinking of selling this year, seems stupid after all the updating but this winter has been trying to say the least, we will see.

The local golf sign has added the word "hope". The Masters next week !!

I visited the boat this week on Georgian Bay, still a lot of ice and not much sign of it receding. The weather does get 4 and 5 degrees above freezing during the day however drops to -10 overnight, any ice that melted during the day is re-freezing again at night.

OOOHHH that was cold! BUT, weather continues to improve here. 60's for Sat., Sun., Mon., then a little cooler for reminder of week. Snow in prediction for end of next week. Just finished my teak steps with Sikkens Cetol, a job I was not looking forward to, but it was easier than I thought. Now I have to figure out how to reattach the frames into the brackets,...tight fit, there is going to be some . Touch up bottom paint, finish buffing, and I am ready to go. Shooting for May 6 - 10. Water is open on lower bay. Ice is clearing up. Looking realistic for early May.
