Well...got most done but had to abort due to contortion issues... :-D ...everything buttoned up, charger profile set, lubed the main thru hull valves......the day turned out ok.....10C and sunny, but gusty winds though, lots more open water areas in the bay than the day before and .....wait for it....boats have been spotted floating at one of the local marinas. I wonder who ????
I do miss being able to manually roll the engines over with a bar, that small crank bolt worries me for doing that.

The cover won't come off till at least the end of the month.....

Edit...it is now snowing.

EDIT # 2...on the golf side, Tiger wins the Masters !!!! Good stuff.

It was snowing here on Monday morning. Hopefully those will be the last flakes of the white stuff until November or December. I think that next year I won't set a "target" date to launch, just do it when the time is right. :beergood:

Cheer up Rick, it's all good. It is one of those light switch years, bad weather then "click", good weather. Not much of a transition. We are in 50's now, then 60's starting Friday. Problem is, time window for prep if you store outside. I did my bottom paint touch up yesterday, now just 2 hours of polishing to go and I am ready. Looks like the ice on Green Bay is almost gone, ( that went quick ), not sure if I trust the MODIS pics. In just a couple of weeks I'll be cussing out the bridge enclosure frame while I'm trying to reinstall the canvas. I predict you will be in the water by the 27th. 8-) er

What a week.....we had 20C,-5C, sun, rain, thunder, snow, high winds and fog. The ice breaker got in and most of the bay where we are is rotten ice and clear. Wind was all wrong for a plague of locusts.

Got most of the toilet job done, due to the toilet being over those big stringers, I was forced to engineer stuff... :-O .

A little luck should be on the way.......saw three bald eagles on the ice today......the gulls were keeping their distance........

Happy Easter to all...

This upcoming week my weather looks like it might finally become more favorable to uncovering and launching my boat. I was down to my marina yesterday and there were 2 boats in their slips. I'm ready to get my season underway. Still raining today though but tomorrow (Sunday) looks better.

Yesterday was really nice, lots of covers coming off, our bay is almost clear of ice as of today.....there is a new lake boat in Midland this afternoon and the marina there has a bunch of boats in. Looks like the water levels are going to be even higher this year, judging by the current level.

We now have a launch date, middle of May...could of gone in next week, but the polishing has to get done....

Oh and lest I forget, we have two game 7's tonight.......hmmmmm, might be late one.....

My storage guy wants me out next week. Looks like May 1 or 2, yoo hoo! Finished oil changes this morning, finished 2nd coat of bottom paint yesterday, finished polishing yesterday. I am ready. So why am I so worried about the first start up for the year? I can not believe how much anxiety I get until everything is running smooth and 160 degrees. Boy this has been a long off season. According to MODIS, there is no more ice in the bay, so my 18 mile crossing should go OK. Let's hope she starts like a champ! 8-) er

A couple of weeks ago when I first went down to my boat to connect the batteries I cranked both engines momentarily just to make sure the batteries were still good even though they were showing 12 volts each. I cranked the port engine just a tic then the starboard engine. That engine almost fired up I had to shut off the key quickly. Surprised me. Usually first start of the season takes a little cranking before the engines fire up that first time.
