Re: Beginning Of Season Near
Sorry to hear that Fred. This high water is causing problems with more than the normal amount of junk in the water. When I transported to my slip, about a mile, I was lucky enough to be going down current in a river that empties into the bay. The amount of junk in the water stacked near shore was amazing. Posts, trees, even saw a small paddle boat adrift. At least you should just get charged just one lift fee to change it.

Re: Beginning Of Season Near
I have about 10 feet under my boat. I'll have them lift it when they get all the boats put in. The water is 53f on the lake right now. It can wait.
Thanks

Re: Beginning Of Season Near
Both my storage marina and home port marina are open for business as of yesterday albeit no access to showers or washrooms or main building which we never use anyway so for me it's no big deal. Will go to the boat early this week to probably pull batteries as they are due this year and assess the winters damage if any. Probably a good week and a half or 2 before it sees the water. Can't wait to open a bottle of wine after we are ready for the season and at our dock.

Our boat was launched Thursday! Had a good weekend, commissioned everything and all is in good order.
Ready for the season, although I have no idea if any of the dockside restaurants will be able to open any time soon.

Re: Beginning Of Season Near
Wow, finally got in the boat yesterday, felt great to get in there. The new boat puppy got to be right at home quickly. I got the new flush fittings installed, the hardest part was not cutting the hose as I thought, it was pushing the hose on the fittings.I have lost 25 pounds and it is much easier to get down there now.
Pleasant surprise was the battery voltage was holding at 12.6 vdc after the past almost 8 months storage...
So step one done, some more tomorrow after the back recovers, then we decide whether to pull the tarp or not, still some questions out there.......

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Re: Beginning Of Season Near
Thanks Rick. Won't be fun for a bit yet, I have to replace the hot water heater and will be relocating the new one to a different location to allow adding more batteries. But it'll be nice to be on board again.
I always enjoyed watching a weekend afternoon ball game on board but it's uncertain whether that'll happen this year. Hopefully they'll put something together.
I know of several people that have already decided not to launch their boats this year. Going to be an interesting/different summer I think. Gotta wonder how many marinas will be permanently affected by this and end up for sale, although that might be a good thing in some cases!

That's tough luck Fred. Always good to have a spare set. Are you replacing it in the water?
