Happy - you may want to PM Lyndon, as this is a pretty old thread, and they may not see it. That vibration could be coming from a bunch of things, but I would not let it go on any longer. It's on the hard now, so time to do a thorough inspection. 8-) er

Doe's anybody know if the 466's were shipped with a spare shaft separate or tucked away somewhere onboard? I found that some of the older Carvers had them tucked within the hull with watertight caps over the access holes.

Happy - there were a limited number of models that featured an "optional" spare shaft. The shaft was located in one of two storage areas. One location behind a cover on the starboard side of the hull, basically at the main chine in the transom. You would easily see that cover, as it is about a quarter inch thick. The second location would be totally inside the hull, suspended with hangers on the starboard side. Pretty easy to see if you look for it. The best way to determine is to call Carver with your hull number. They would know if that vessel was shipped with a spare shaft. 8-) er

If you have problems with calling them, let me know. I live 12 miles from the main production plant. Give me the hull number and I will drive over to investigate. 8-) er
