Just a follow up on the work being done on Escape Plan.

er, you are correct, they are an Interlux shop, so they are using Epiglass for the blister repairs. Most of the ones in the photos are old repairs that had either failed or where close to failing, but this is what she was looking like last week after they had ground them out. And they are alternating the colors of the barrier coating to make sure of even coverage (White, Gray, White). Was just informed today that she should be ready either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Don't know if I will get the chance to drive up and get photos before they apply the bottom paint. But I feel much better after hearing from all you guys on the subject...and on a good note they had estimated 21 hours on the blister repair but only took 16, so it's not going to be as bad as initially thought. Even the Admiral has calmed down and is ready for it to be back in the water...She's ready for Boating season!

Looks polka dotty.

Seriously, lots of hard work and a nice job, will be well worth the effort in the end.

I'm assuming they'll remove ALL of the anti-fouling paint before filling in the blisters and applying a barrier coat?

Yes...I was informed at the beginning that they would remove all the old anti-fouling paint. That was a big part of the problem with the previous blister repair, they had been repaired over the old anti-fouling paint. The photos were taken last week while she was still drying out.

Well final update here. Blisters all repaired, final tally 102. Barrier coat installed (3 coats), new bottom paint (2 coats) and back in the water. Gained an additional 3 knots with the new bottom. Shop wants to pull and inspect her after two seasons for any new blisters.

That looks good. Which formula did the yard use for the bottom paint? Getting additional speed is saving you money each hour you cruise, gaining 3 knots saves you 4 gallons each hour you run. Adds up pretty quick. You will be set for a few seasons. You did the right thing, and can rest assured with the hull.

Looking good and the gain in top end is not a bad thing either. Hope you have a wonderful and fun season.
