Sorry for my absence. We would love to host here in FLA. We live in Lauderdale and moor in Stuart so either place. I have plenty of tools and plenty of drinks for the “helpers” haha. Were I could use the most help is refreshing my libation supply. We are empty nesters so dates are flexible.

Bud37 - sending an email. My PM is not working correctly. Putting you down as possible attendee.
Sadey - thanks for your gracious invitation! Libation notice noted. Something tells me you are going to be pouring a few as event host. Could you visit a hotel in the area and see if they would offer a group rate? There is a Marriott in Stuart.
Everyone else: Looks like we should change location to Stuart, FL. Little north of Ft Lauderdale, but that is where The Benedetto is moored. I assume we want to be near boat(s)/marinas. Airport there also. I only designated the date of 2-14 because it would work better for people who are working. If there are better dates, just chime in, but do that soon. You do not have to travel with bottles. I think there is a beverage store, or 50, in the area. ( Unless you have something special )

Bud37 - no email in your profile, but that is OK. You got the message. If this event works out, and it looks good at this point, hope to see you there!

Carver Nation --- We have a host, we have a destination, we have dates, now all we need is attendees!

All CYO Members: Please respond if you intend to attend the event. It is preferable to get your commitment sooner than later because a lot of people will need to travel, and early booking is more cost efficient. We realize some will expect to be there and then drop out, but that happens. Having said that, we do need to get some sense of if this get together is going to happen! Thx.
Viper - any chance you can make it? You would be our featured celebrity this inaugural year.

Sorry guys, no can do. Wish I could, it'd be really cool to meet everyone. Maybe some day when I slow down more. Working on an exit strategy, so I'll be golden in a few years, then it's south for the winters

Too bad Viper. Would have been great to meet you, plus, just your attendance would have provided some incentive for others to be there. You do realize this would be a business trip for you? Not familiar with Canadian tax code, but we will arrange whatever functions we need to qualify as tax friendly.
What about the rest of you? We should establish a final date for commitments so travel expense stays reasonable. That date will be set At Jan. 10, 2020. That gives you almost 3 weeks to make a decision. Thanks!

Quick update. We did not get enough "almost for sure" commitments for the 2020 CYO Members Rendezvous. UNfortunately, this one is not going to work out. Thought we should pull the plug to be respectful to those who might have shown up, and then get disappointed. Maybe we can pick it up again at another time. Maybe we should have a northern hemisphere / southern hemisphere version. Northern to be executed during boating season, southern during the off-season. July-August always has a plethora of events/opportunities in the waters of Green Bay. I would be happy to host in Menominee, MI. Great marina and Door County, WI cruising access. Just FYI - Door County is known as the midwest version of Cape Cod. Numerous marinas and anchorage opportunities there.

No worries. Just a shot in the dark to see if we could get traction. Every great event starts with a first step. Heck, the first Super Bowl between the GB Packers and Kansas City Chiefs was attended by just 61,900 fans, with a ticket cost of $10. Not a sell out. Camera operators had to be careful to not show the empty seats. Today, ticket price is $950 face value, but really start at $5K on the open market. One step at a time, but I hope we do get a "rendezvous" prior to my 100th trip around the sun!
