Hello Mr & Mrs America and all the ships at sea! New scuttlebutt.....this reporter has heard there is another player, maybe 2, interested in Marquis/Carver. The individual providing this info, requests to remain anonymous. More to come as news breaks! On other news, today would have been the inaugural CYO members fabulous rendezvous extravaganza! Sadie would have been pouring refreshments in Stuart, Florida, on the vessel Bennedeto as I write this. Alas, not enough participants.
80 days to go! 8-) er

I was there and toured their boats. Their President was there. I don’t think it will be an issue much longer. The boats were great. Much more open feel than the models we have. In a few years, maybe...
Anyway, toured the Lexus Carver. Really unbelievable boat. I think that is the third one. They sold the first two. Fit and finish was first class. I think they told me it was $4.2 mil.

Nharrison5 - That would have been Rob Parmentier. Did you inquire about any updates? Have not seen anything locally yet, although I am sure the area news stations are checking back with Carver. I'm sure Rob would maintain an appropriate corporate perspective, especially at the boat show. He is a very approachable, regular kind of guy. 8-) er

Update......great news all! Marquis/Carver announced there will NOT be a shut down of operations. Although the appropriate notices were provided to the appropriate employment agencies, the company will remain in production status. A sale has not been completed. Things look a lot more optimistic, at least from this reporters perspective. More to come as this story unfolds. 8-) er

Hooray for you! Excitement building. Maybe you should have someone come out to assist you with the orientation. ;-) Hope you have the owners manual so you can study up on the systems before just hittin' switches. Going to be a lot of fun, especially now that you know you're not going to be an orphan. Good Luck. Take pics and post them. The rest of us will live vicariously thru the process. 8-) er

Sorry, just saw this. He was optimistic at the time. Subsequent events seems to have borne that out.
