I mounted 2 190 watt Go Power solar panels on the aft deck hardtop using Alien tape and the rare earth magnets. We’ve had the boat out in some pretty serious winds and have not had one magnet come loose. I really liked the idea that I can remove the solar panels and there’s no holes or damage to the hardtop. I added a third 190 watt panel by using the magnets attached to the panel and the underside of the bridge canvas, again I haven’t had one magnet come loose. will be replacing the short bolts that I used on the hardtop panels with ones 3/4” longer this winter so that I can put spacers under the panels to get air under the panels to help cool them.
