I hope they are not in negotiations with Brunswick to become the sole big boat builder in America!! that would really rub me the wrong way! Nothing against Brunswick but Carver has set themselves apart from this multinational and seem to be doing quite well. Brunswick dropped the Big boat Bayliner division , dropped the motor yacht division to become Meridian which was also dropped, Dropped Sea Ray! They did buy Hatteras but got rid of that also. They were on a buying frenzy and purchasing almost all boat builders in America only to close them down. Bottom line is they do not make big boats any more so to say and do not like competition. I would worry about a Carver acquisition. I remember very well their decision to stop building larger Bayliner's which revolved around them not being able to keep up with their biggest competitor which they published as the used boat market. Their past history shows they cannot sustain larger boats which could eventually lead to the death of the Carver name.
Hopefully this is not the case as Carver remains one of the only innovative, mass produced quality Yacht builders in America. Brunswick should stick to engines as this is what they do best. Even their innovative small boat called "Element" which was designed to be sold to the masses and mr everyone is plagued with water egress into the sealed pontoons which has not been corrected in the past 5 or 6 years. https://www.baylinerownersclub.org/foru ... nsons-help
Enough of my rambling and lets hope the news will be great news.

Now it's kind of scary. I thought this started out as a GOOD NEWS thread, but looking back it was just BIG news.
No Brunswick....no venture capitalists....Carver culture will remain. It is still a good news thread. I wish this would finalize so I could share with all of you! er
