Don’t know if I told you about the final chapter of the Saga with the Admiral, but the outcome was great! Last Thursday she was scheduled for ERCP (endo with spyglass and stone removal) We got in and she was prepped, Dr said it was a 45 minute procedure. However, that stone would not budge, even hitting it with sound waves. Dr conveyed it was going to a bit longer, but she was well and deeply sedated. AFter 3 hours of turning and hitting the stone with sound waves, it finally broke apart, and was cleaned up. Dr said he was going to give up and switch to open surgery, but wanted to give a few more tries, as he has a 95% success rate of removal. Ride back to Cape Cod was rough, with Colleen vomiting the trip. Seems the sedative that was used was one of the most compatible with general anesthesia if a switch was made to open procedure, but also had most side effects. Friday still having issues, so a trip back into Boston, all good, just need to get sedative flushed out. Saturday was OK, and Sunday AM? Back to normal! Full breakfast with no issues and prognosis for full recovery with no surgery. SO, that means we are now ready to enjoy some boating life, AFter grandson and daughter head back to NC. Thanks again for all of your kindness and comments, we are very appreciative.
