Update.. We have Steering!!

I took my son with me to have him crawl down into the bilge and he was able to get the old cylinder off & replace with the new unit... we bled the system following the hynautic manual's instructions and everything is working. Only issue i have now is after turning the wheel several times to make sure we were finished with the process, i started to hear a clicking noise from the helm that wasn't there before. Wheel turns smooth with no issues, but i can almost feel the click from the helm when turning the wheel. Does that mean i have air in the lines or is that normal?

Yea, that's probably some air in there. Keep turning the wheel hard over (fast) to each end. If you can't turn it past the "stop", then you might have to loosen the pressure relief a little so you can overcome that. That will push the air bubbles back to the reservoir.

ok, i never did turn the wheel fast as the instructions said to do 40 rotations slowly each way (taking 2-3 seconds per full turn). I never did try to turn it past full stop.

Try and just give it some time to work out before considering too much intervention.
