So here is a little teaser, there is more. All in Canuck bucks, so you will have to use the dollar converter of your choice.

1. 4700.00 for drive to 40' slip, includes pump outs,parking,pool, wifi,water,power,haulout, bottom wash,blocking and outside winter storage in the yard...runs from May to May.
2. 700 to winterize two inboard engines.
3. 34.00 a foot for shrink LOA.....if used
4. Indoor heated storage....8.75 a square ft....( loa+1 ) x (beam+1)..so 38x14=532 x 8.75= 4655.00....if used
5. Fuel 1.44 a litre....there are 3.78L in US gallon.
Remember to add 13% to all the above for tax except for the fuel.

We are quite happy where we are now, great place , nice people and great boating.

If you have a great boat. If you are happy where you are. Is there anything better than that. The marina where I am now does cost more than where I was located in 2015 and 2016. I paid $1200 for my summer dockage there. It was a 25 mile trip to the boat from my home.

In 2017 I moved to Gibraltar Boat Yard. Now my boat is only 9 miles away. Much better for me but the cost for my summer dockage rose to $1675 the past two seasons. Still not a bad price when compared to other locations.

Yeah, what Rick said. That slip rate is not bad when you consider the lift, winter storage, wash. Unless I did the math wrong, and I probably did, you are right in our ballpark. 40 ft slips at my marina are 2400USD, May 15 to October 15 only. ( 3230 CAD ) Your fuel conversion is 3.75USD a gallon, which is very typical for most marina's. My marina is the lowest anywhere, mainly because they need transient boaters to cruise in for local entertainment economy. I drive 58 miles to the marina, but gas in car is cheap by comparison. Normal week is 5 days at boat, 2 days at home. Bud, you're doing better than you think. Don't worry, be happy. er.

There are always a couple things that stand out, not the slip costs, they are quite variable.....compare Ricks wrap cost of 380 for 31ft= 12.25 usd/ft= 16.00 cad......now ours is 34.00/ft. Engine winterize and AC..316.00= 410.00....mine was 700.00...just the engines. Winter heated storage 1800.00 = 2340.00...ours is 4655.00.
Somewhat interesting when you get to compare services, granted maybe not all apples to apples but close enough for discussion.

The one thing that is not cheap at my marina is fuel. Gasoline all season long was $4.59 per gallon. Fortunately there are a couple of boat clubs nearby where gas is a bit cheaper so I usually buy there.

I quite adding things up some time ago and honestly I do not want to know. Even though I am quite frugal and do 99% of everything myself I know I have dished out way too much. One thing for sure is when she does up for sale I am sure there will be a line up for her as there has been in the past for all my boats. My goal is to have a well maintained, easy to maintain, up to date and enjoyable boat with features that stand out of the crowd which I must say I have accomplished to my taste so far. A few tweaks left come this spring and I will most likely be done (yeah right ) This way it makes boating so worth it when you consider only the enjoyment you get out of it.

Yea, I really don't think about the expense list either. I used to wonder why I enjoy boating as much as I do, but I did figure it out. Was it the sound of engines/power? Not really. Was it the bikini's? Maybe a little. Was it the smell of fiberglass? No. Was it the connection to mother nature, the sight of spraying water, wind in my thinning hair, the storm skipping on the horizon, and the warm 7PM seabreeze? BINGO!! The direct connection to Mother Nature, the adventure she provides each time the engines come to life. An ice cold, frothy top marguerita, Jimmy Buffet island songs, and One Particular Harbour. How much? Don't care. But appreciate it and thank God every single day! Tip the dock hands! er
