Can't help you until Friday. Already out of town.
It is just above the water line. So you could do it with a battery powered drill once it's in the water.
I think it's a one inch line, but I can't guarantee that.

Fred, are you saying the exhaust line is 1" or the raw water intake line? You confused me when you mentioned it being above water line?

But I am not certain.
If you can wait till Saturday, I'll try to get some pix and measurements.

Fred, if you get a chance I would love measurements on the following.
1. Muffler diameter
2. Approx location of muffler through transom hole (ex. from side and top of transom)
3. Approx dimensions of plywood base for Gen
4. Measurement of gen base to transom and side wall
5. Any others that you think might be important!
Generator is on the way so I hope to get it installed in the next few weeks if at all possible. Thanks for the help!

Rebuilt Onan 6.5 MCCK is here. Still working on sourcing the fuel tank and then I'll schedule a crane to help me with install.

The exhaust hose measures 2" outside. Muffler is about 11" to the top seam, so maybe 12" total height. The thing is about 13" in diameter, could not see a name plate on it.
The exhaust exits the tension under the swim platform. Looks to be about 17.5" centerline from inside the hull bottom, and about 31" from inside the port hull side.
The genny pulley cover is about 32" from the transom
The genny manifold is about 8" from the inside port hull side. The closest point to the port engine exhaust is about 3".
The plywood underneath slabs from the engine stringer, across a minor stringer, and all the way to almost the hull side. Cutouts for genny through hull access and for engine mount nuts.

The first picture and third picture are sideways.
The exhaust goes out the transom, below the swim platform. You can see its bolt-on location by the backing bracket andthree fasteners. That's where the swim platform bolts through the transom.
