Added step was, after the first application of product, wait a few minutes till you see that greasy haze. Then, add a very small dab of product to the same pad and buff in again until the greasy haze of the first application is "rubbed in" . Next step, wait till the white haze presents itself, and buff off the haze with a clean, dry polishing pad. After that, then go over the area again, with a clean polishing pad, as strictly a polish for gloss. Previously, I did not do that 2nd rub in of the product used. I did tape off a couple of areas to see if their was any actual difference, and there was an increase in shine level when that 2nd "rub in" step was executed. Now, I have a 4 step process, which translates to more time. IMO, the difference is actually due to the second application, and it seems like the more times you simply use the buffer, the higher the shine. I also use 2 separate buffers so I can keep 1 absolutely dry. Also, I probably used the same pad for too long of a time. I now switch out the applying pads more frequently, and run the removal/polishing pads through a wash to use them twice. Hope this all makes sense.

Today the sun is out, the town is very quiet, golf course sign says 5 weeks to golf, there are some small open spots on the bay but still the ice is thick near shore. The marina has ice eaters on and they are at least trying. Still not convinced the boat will get out of the parking lot. Maybe just the fishing boat this year unless things change drastically.
Lets all hope and pray for all.........Stay safe.

So as we sit here on this warmish sunny day looking out at the still frozen bay and the marinas in the distance full of boats still put to bed, who would have thought this would have happened.!!
Golf course sign says "golf soon", they have dropped the weekly countdown.
Normally on a day like this we would be in the boat under the tarp getting it ready. This year I have a bunch of stuff to install and was going to do just that when we got the no entry notice. Heck, if they were to put the boat in now it would sink right at the dock.
So we wait another week or so and see if they lift the order.....I somehow still think this will be longer somehow. I will say I agree with the order however difficult it is, the alternative is unthinkable. Stay safe people, we will be back soon.

Better to be safe when possible. We all want this Covid 19 thing to end. Just wondering how long it will take to run its course.

We now have a tentative marina opening date in April....heres hoping we can at least go and work on the darn boat....still going to stay away from people and let's hope everyone else does the same or they will just close the doors again. Really the major reason for owning a boat is the social aspect isn't it.

Yes, you're right. It is the social aspect, but now the new normal is going to be social distancing aspect. At least until there is some kind of pharma treatment. I came down with a really good head cold last night. All this hoopla has me wondering if I should try to get tested, but that, in itself, isn't easy either. Oh well, was babysitting my grand daughter last week, while she had a cold and on antibiotics. 99.9% sure that is what I have. Not feeling any soreness, except for my throat from all the coughing. The instructions here are, if you get a cold, stay home. So we will see!

Here in Michigan our governor extended the stay at home until June 9th. Plan to head down to my marina later today just to see if they are open or closed. I think they would not be considered essential and are probably closed. Just need to know whats up with them.
A couple of Fridays ago I did drive through the marina and did not see a soul. I know one thing I am not pulling off the shrinkwrap until I know I can go into the water. If the whole season is lost I will just keep her under wrap.
