Those shelves are going to be a nice addition and look great. I have found non-skid to be a real dirt collector, how about a towel for a temp door mat.
I ran a chase from the one cabinet to the other. The back of the large cabinet is the case for the engine vent so I did not want any electrical in there as well as making sure the compartment is sealed
Is that just one piece of carpet? If not, what did you do for the hatches? The cabinets turned out awesome. You mention you didn't want any electrical below decks. Would it be a problem wiring up a 12 volt car amp, etc under there? The wife will lose her mind if I bolt any electronics visible inside the salon. Thanks.

Yes just one piece of carpet. You just need to roll it up to gain access to the hatch. In regarding the electrical what I meant was that behind the forward large section for the TV is the chase for the venting for the engines. I did not want to put a electrical outlet in that section that would protrude into this vent chase. So a ran a pvc pipe chase (with blk cap) through the electrical panel section to the other shelving section in which I have a plug.
