I'm in the same boat as you however it may take an extra week. Good news is the weather looks perfect for the detailing guys with no rain in site for at least a week. Always did my own polish/wax but since the purchase of this Carver the size has gotten to me.

Everybody's way behind in polishing, bottom painting, etc. You can blame this one on Mother Nature and her weird weather this Spring. Delaying launches everywhere.

Has anyone heard if the water levels will affect the opening of the TS locks by May Two Four this year?

I live in the Fenelon Falls Area and we have not heard of anything yet. The Burnt river was running pretty high last week but it seems to have calmed down significantly the past few days. Nothing like last year.

cheers

In my case its not so much the size. It is more my age, 68, I would rather pay someone to do that kind of stuff. As I am doing it now I do the topsides one year and the hull sides the next. By getting the hull sides done this year I will be able to launch earlier next year. Topsides can be done when the boat is in the water.

By this time into the season I would expect to see much more traffic on the waterways than I've seen so far. Hope that changes. Having said that, most marinas are still playing catch up because of the late start. Some are two to three weeks out for service appointments or actually turning work away. So much to do and so little time as usual.

How many have a Christmas In June in their area? The one in Orillia Ontario is this coming weekend :drunk: Anybody going?
