On the positive side I have new dripless seals and a spare seal mounted forward on the shaft, 4 new strut bearings, new couplings, new struts, shafts and new scanned props. Should be good for quite some time if I stop playing with the rocks that is.

Lesson learned, in unfamiliar out of channel areas that are shallower I will always have both plotters on and compare.

It seems every time I go on a 'longish' cruise, I learn new things. Many times they are hard lessons, in stressful situations, however if we actually implement the new information in future situations, we can chalk it up to becoming a more experienced and safer boater.

After about 10hrs of travel over 4 days everything is perfect. Actually gained a few km/hr at most rpm settings. Solid rain since last night and does not look good for the rest of the day but who cares, got the boat back. Presently in Clayton, NY. heading back to home port today.

Good stuff....nice to hear it got fixed right the first time.....
