Interesting, that's a no no. I wish them luck if they get caught. As far as I know, the only boats allowed to be in the water are emergency responders and boats owned by people that need them to get to their primary residence.

We are doing a little better here in WI / MI. Launches are taking place. MI governor is now allowing motorized boats on MI waters. My launch is scheduled for May 11. Will be very easy to comply with self-distancing requirements. The marina's in WI are opening as scheduled. Marina in MI, where I slip, is facing a one day delay for now. May have limited services, but all I really need is power, and fuel. Got enough fuel onboard for at least a few weeks. Have plenty of disinfectant wipes to stay reasonable clean. Bought a bunch of 303 wipes when they went on sale last November. Our marina is allowing entry before May 16, so all we have to do is be smart about how we conduct ourselves while at the marina. If people get stupid, then we will suffer the consequences. Gonna be a very, very different season. Stay safe, stay healthy, be smart! 8-) er

Our governor has pretty much warned us that if we do not follow the proper protocols she may re-issue stricter rules. It's up to us to stay safe and follow the rules imposed. I hope to launch May 8th.

PA, will open recreational boating and Marinas this Friday. Our marina in Maryland has started to splash boats this week with an abbreviated staff. The MD Governor is expected to open recreational boating next week.

Well, things appear to be a little more positive for most of you. Ontario, still on hold. Premier is being very cautious and we appreciate it. Having said that, I don't think we will be that far behind you and I look forward to putting the big tub in the water.

Looks like the end of May for us unless something changes between now and then.

Today they are saying they ( the province ) want to see 3 to 4 weeks of steady decline before opening. Take that for what its worth. Kinda think if we get to June sometime we may leave it in the parking lot......really just concerned about two things..... a second wave then what and the marina has not provided a clear plan of how they will take care of the patrons ( hundreds of out of town visitors ), only their staff so far. Perhaps this plan is in the works , I hope.

So what happens IF there is a second wave larger than this one (it will be if everyone is locked up and there is little immunity) around October and everything closes when we are still in the water? Food for thought.

Where there is a will, there is a way. I agree with Viper and I am hopeful for an early June slash. If not in by the end of June I will have to flip a coin as to whether I will go in. If not in by the end of July, not going in for 2 months, so boat will stay where it is.

As for being stuck in the water in October, there is a way to get all out of the water without taking high risk. Just need a plan. It is easy for us as there are only 90 boats in our marina and only 35 + -, stay in the marina parking lot for the winter. They break it up in two days. There are 6 of us that have to bring in a larger trailer so getting out is not an issue and that happens first. You just don't go on the property until your boat is ready to come out and the blocking is done. Then you come back to cover and winterize on another day when attendance is at a low.

The US and the rest of the world are working on about 100 potential vaccines for this that maybe delivered in the fall, so they say, fingers crossed.

We have around 450 to 500 boats....you can imagine the crowds on a nice weekend.....that is where the problem is in my opinion. Oddly haven't heard a thing from the marine insurance industry yet......
Also all fingers crossed for a potent vaccine.
