Another season of working too much on the hard and not enough cruising! Alas, the life of a DIY boater!
Does anyone have any leads on ANY cosmetic parts for the model and years listed above? Most desired now are transom hatch covers, flybridge bench seats, emblems, and taft railings. Since I know that I'm not the only person that's searching for any/all of these items, maybe someone could give me ideas on how to manufacture these parts? Forgive my redundancy (as I know this must have been addressed in the past!) but I'm a new user of this forum. Any suggestions, guidance, ideas, or feedback would be greatly appreciated. I will also help out in anyway I can other fellow boaters that may have questions or concerns.
Good luck to all! Keep the wet out and the fun in!
Finding that model boat, either in a marina nearby or finding pictures on the internet, might help. Then post with the parts you're looking for circled. Then folks will be able to tell you if the same parts might also be on other models or other years which might make finding them easier.
Making hatch covers is not that hard if you're handy at all. It's some fiberglass work and maybe some coring, but you can find videos on Youtube of folks who have had to make their own. I think there is a thread on here under the "Projects" forum of one of the members who re-made his bridge seating, partly because the old one was falling apart and partly because he wanted a more functional one than stock.
Thanks for the response! I have been told that the seating has been easy to duplicate and yes, even modify and improve. Truth be told, I've been trying to restore the ole girl to as close to original as possible. I will; however, post pictures of that model. I think that's a great idea!
Wish you were looking last year, I think they just cut one up here in Union Springs, NY. Call Frontenac Harbor @ 315-889-5532, they may still have it?
