Renewed clear PVC on bridge enclosure

In prepping for the season, I wanted to see how I could renew the bridge enclosure. It was yellowing (vinyl clear windows) and hard to see out. Sooooooo.........I took the 7 panels home. Got some Maguire’s 195 compound and hi it HARD with the buffer, foam cutting pad. Started out at a slow speed and then gave it al it had, putting ample pressure on the buffer. Then the bride took each panel outside and we hit it with the garden hose to clean stray compound off. Let it sit in the rain for a few days to wash off and brought them inside to dry. Saturday being a wet dreary day, I placed a moving blanket on the granite counter top and hand rubbed Maguire’s 215 polishing compound with a pad, circular motions until there was a drag, then let sit and wiped off the dried compound. Now, using 3M plastic polish, wiped it in, and buffed with a micro fiber cloth. Now, 7 panels, 2 sides, this happened 14 times! TEDIOUS, DREARY DRUDGERY WORK, however, they are now perfectly clear and see through. HOWEVER, for an afternoons work and $47.00 saved a new enclosure for the next few years. Canvas and zippers were in great shape. I hope you all had the productiveness and satisfaction in your Saturday!

I'm afraid they will fog over rather quickly.
You can buy clear vinyl, sew it over the old stuff. Then cut the old stuff out after you are done sewing the new in place.
If you dont have a heavy duty machine, you can buy a used portable huswvarna waking foot machine for a a few hundred bucks.
Use Teflon thread.
