USCG #, Documentation, registration


Good Morning All, I am in the process of getting my boat documented with the USCG. They said it was already documented and the number should be posted somewhere in the boat. I cannot figure out where it is. Does anybody have any idea where to look? They did give me the number but I want to make sure it is posted somewhere within. Also, for documentation, you have to give the name and hailing port of the boat. This would be the key time to rename the boat, if I want to. Where do you go to get the name painted on your boat? I can't seem to find any places that will do it. Has anybody used the vinyl decals for your boat name? Any suggestions on where to buy that? Thanks, Steve
