I own a 2006 V56 and am trying to repair my stern thruster. The thruster quit suddenly last summer in the Spring I had it inspected by a marina and was told that I had stripped a leg gear. Told $6,000 for a new gear and 16 weeks to have it machined. I believe the unit is a Sleipner Sidepower thruster but I am having difficulty finding anyone who knows for sure what the unit is and how to repair it. Impeller and wear plate was just replaced on engine.



Water sprays enough from the small "retaining screw cam" that I could tell from looking at diagrams. It is a single flathead screw near the raw water intake hose clamp area.

The factory window tint on my front and side windows is flaking off in areas and needs to be replaced. To make it easier for the window tint people (and for a better quality job) I want to remove the vertical vinyl upholstered trim pieces as shown in the attached pictures.

I have a -89 3807 where the starboard engine is exremely loud. I think it may stem from a backfire?

Anyway, the noise comes from the exhaust chamber and it is rattling loudly.

I hear that there used to be a coversion kit for this purpose......

Does anyone have any information or installation instructions for this kit?

Does anyone have any advice on how to remedy this this problem?

I really don't want to cut a big hole in the boat from the outside to access the chamber.

I am installing new bathroom sink faucets. I have the Quest to PEX adapters, if needed. Question, is why and how did QUEST piping get such a bad rap?

I have a mid 80s 3207. There is a funky smell coming from the forward head in the cabinet. there is a gap between the back of the cabinet and the hull wall. the smell comes from there. If I spray some soapy bleachy water in that gap down the inside of the hull wall, where does it go?
