Post 410 Sport Sedan salon wall panel removal
- Posted by: Ruger_Fan » May 15th, 2021, 7:36 am
- Forum: Carver Yachts Forum - Model Discussion
Hello ya'll looking for some input. I'm looking to see if anyone with a 410 SS has removed the upholstered wall panels on the bulkheads in the salon & galley? I've seen pics on a similar boat that was for sale where someone had hung a flat panel on the bulkhead above the galley counter and I'd love to see what's behind that panel before I start drilling holes and hanging weight on it. Any clue how those come off? I've not found any fasteners at all. Any direction would be appreciated.

Hello to all. Mike from Charleston, SC. Purchased last year 1992 Montego 530 with twin 4.3 mercs with 450 hours each. This is my first boat so I got a lot to learn. I am retired with a varied background of skills as I have been going over Magnolia Rose completely (Maggie). Mike

Hello all:
I just took posession of a new (to us) 2001 Carver 530 Pilothouse. Just finished up a passage bringing her across the state of Florida via the Okeechobee waterway from Ft. Myers to Cocoa Beach, Fl.
It was a good trip and I really liked the way the boat handled. However, the glare from both the upper and lower driving station on the windows/windshield is pretty bad if its sunny.
I was about to start ordering some black felt to create dull surface for the dashboard to remove this glare, ...

Post Analog to NMEA Engine Data Converter

- Forum: Electronics & Navigation
I have wanted to get my engine data into my Simrad system for a while, but I don't want to lose my existing dash gauges. I have twin Cummins BT6 5.9s in my 2000 Carver 396. Has anyone done this type of install? Does anyone recommend a brand of gateway? I have been leaning toward the Actisense Engine Management Unit Analog- NMEA2000. Has anyone use this?
Thanks,
Russ

Hi all,
The DC amps meter on my panel is not working, the needle stays fixed in position at about 30 amps. How to I open the panel to remove the gauge? Where can I buy a replacement?
Thanks,
Barry

Hello all,
My wife and I bought the above-mentioned boat about a month ago and are just learning the ins and outs (and then, miraculously-ins again) of basic seamanship and maintenance routines. The boat (or yacht, to be extra fancy and said with pinky in air) has twin Volvo Penta 8.1 Gil-D engines with low miles, and we are crossing our fingers that the former owner kept up with general maintenance, as he should have. One current issue (as we have already pulled the boat out of the water for pro ...

Post Hydraulic dinghy lift

Hydraulic lift question. Hoping someone knows some basics on hydraulic lift activation. My dinghy lift is 1992 vintage.
The remote control no longer functions and the control panel is old relay technology. Lift is hydraulic, simple function in/out & up/down. The cylinder travel is approximately 40 inches in/out and 30 inches up/down. The travel both ways are tied into proximity probes that must be met in order to allow the activation of up / down or in / out. IE Lift must be all the way out ...

The prime real estate on my dashboard is occupied by these obsolete guages. I would like to mount my iPad there, for navigation, but no idea how to do it. What would be the right way to proceed to make it look profesh? If it matters, I also need to place a new VHF up front.
