We've been thinking of getting a Inflatable dinghy to use around the marina and tow behind our Carver 3607 when we go out on the big lake (Lake Michigan). Everyone I know that has had a inflatable tells me that eventually it will lose air and have issues. Father and I picked up an '86 Monterey from his friend who just passed. The port prop is bent bad (thanks to me allowing dad to operate it first). Could use some help finding a replacement since I'm very green with anything bigger that a 20' Spectrum. It's an 18" x 20 DQ. Looking for brass or aluminum. Engines are Mercruiser 350, 5.0L. 270 HP.

I'm in the process of purchasing a very nice 1998 Carver 405. If it passes survey and mechanical I want to replace the current anchor with either a Rocna with the roll bar or the Rocna-Vulcan. The 405/406 has no bowsprit but the Vulcan has quite a different shaped arch shaped shaft and the other model has the roll bar. Given how the anchor locked hatch is configured I wondering if there are issues with mounting either of these types of anchors. Have any other owners installed these?

I have had some CO issues while operating the generator while on hook. I have inspected the exhaust hoses for the generator and they are good to go, but my Kidde digital CO detector still picks up moderately high levels in the engine room which eventually sets it off in the cabin. I did contact Kidde and they informed me that their detectors aren't rated for marine service and they can also detect hydrogen sulfide produced from the lead/acid batteries which can also trigger the alarm. I was told when I purchased this boat that the system had a slight free leak. After purchasing Freon the compressor tried to kick on and immediately tripped the breaker. A/C guy said the compressor is most likely locked up. So I’m going to install another A/C. My question is how do you get to the old A/C to remove it? It looks like I need to remove the entire dining site.

Switched out the leaky original faucet.
Since it was garbage weather, we did the sink faucet
also.

On my new-to-me 2001 Carver 530, my master stateroom air conditioning doesn't work. Salon, VIP, and Pilothouse Marine Air units are working great but the breaker to the master unit blows instantly. I've replaced the breaker assuming that had gone bad, but same result. I've checked, cleaned, and reinstalled ground on the unit. I've removed the ducts and reached inside and the cage spins freely. Hello everyone. I just bought a 2004 36 sport sedan and I absolutely love it. On my 4 hours cruise to my home marina I did realized the carbon monoxide alarms went crazy down in the salon or cabin in general. No body was down there. I was cruising at 20-22 mph not wide open. I had my blowers on at all times and the fwd head vent on. I did not closed the center vent about the dining area as it was advised not to. What did I do wrong or what did I missed. Please shed some lights.
