V Berth Lights

Postby Zarko48 » June 9th, 2019, 12:20 pm

The two pivoting LED lights in the V berth over the bed are not working. Checked with a volt meter and there's no power going to them? Any one have a wiring diagram, or secret power switch location? The other pot lights in the room work fine?

is this something new or have they always not worked?
Check your circuit breakers?
Any chance these 2 lights are 120v and you're either not plugged into shore power or the appropriate circuit breaker is off?

Any chance those lights have a separate on /off right on them.....that is what ours are like.....maybe some corrosion.....
The above is strictly my opinion.

I've had lights that had both switches on the fixture and a wall mount switch. Obviously, both have to be turned on

Yes they do have a separate switch but I've removed the light(s) and checked for power before the switch with and without the other light switch on.

They didn't work during the survey - 1 1/2 years ago. They are LEDs so certainly 12V. The wiring diagram is only a schematic so does show any detail and/where wiring runs from or to?
