Swim platform

Post by Ghyden »

I recently purchased a 2003 366. I am wanting to have an extended swim platform installed. Boat is on a freshwater lake in the Midwest. I also want to install underwater lighting. Can anybody steer me in the right direction on the platform. So far I have been searching the Internet. I don't know if these are premade or if I will have to have one custome made. Any ideas???

Were these extended platforms available from Carver as original equipment? Perhaps they might have the molds . I highly doubt you will find a swim platform that will fit your boat. Carver would have only built as many as were ordered. If they have the molds its not likely they will let you use them. I think your best bet is to find a good Fiberglass fabricator in your area and have one built .
I'm guessing between $3000 to $5000. Measuring boat and platform , making plug, making mold, pulling part, finishing the part and installation. Keep in mind the platform is through bolted to the hull sides and transom.
You might be able to offset the cost by renting out your mold.
Good luck

Try www.swimplatforms.com or www.myswimplatform.com We've used them both. They will both custom make a platform for your boat, although swimplatforms.com do have a size limitation where the other one does not seem to.
