466MY AC DUCT AFT CABIN

Postby ems05#05 » August 20th, 2024, 10:11 am

Has anyone dealt with replacing ac duct work in the aft cabin? How to reach the ends to change out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 406 and I put in an AC vent in the aft cabin head. It was on the sytem schematic but not on my boat. I have seen the vent location on two the 406 models so i put a duct into the aft cabin. The ac directional splitter was behond the main closet on the port side. Had to take the entire back off the closet, then I snaked the vent through a chase next to the bed (pulled out speaker to see the chase) and nightstand. This got me to over the water heater under the bed and I then had a straight shot across the boat to the plexi panel in the head where I mounted the vent. The 466 is not the same boat but what I have learned is, you can get anywhere on these boats if you take enough of it apart.
