Hey everyone hoping someone had the same issue. After a 9 hour trip on the Carver I connected my rear shore power to the marina and when i flipped my breaker i saw my voltage at 220 for a second then pfff no power. No external circuit breakers tripped but some of these are the original breakers that i know of
So I pulled out my voltage meter to read the voltage on my “AC Selector Switch”. Anyone know where to start or had this issue before?

I do get power with front shore power port and that is working fine.

If you have a breaker where the shore power plugs in on the boat, turn it off and back on even if it looks like it hasn't tripped. I would start there.

You have power from the shore pedestal , correct....is it the same one you are using for the front shore receptacle on the boat ? Is this your home marina where there has been no issues before ?

Sorry lots of questions, just trying to cover the shore side first.

Sounds like an issue at the marina power pedestal. Had the same thing happen a few years ago. Asked the dockmaster if there could be a problem with pedestal. His first answer was "no". A week later, another vessel came in. Same problem. Then the marina discovered a broken wire in the electrical run to the dock. Good luck! er

Yes there is power from the shore pedestal.
running the FRONT shore power no issue, I have power in the boat.

I"m still learning the boat just bought it, (17 hr trip to take it home). Is the shore power pass through the inverter?
IF yes, you guys think i have to hard reset my inverter/xantrex?

Ok...did you run your generator on the trip.....try it now and see if the boat works correctly in regards to all electrical power/circuits.

See the thing is , one never knows what previous owners/mechanics have done prior, so ya have to pick thru things carefully. If all the circuits work as normal with the gen and front power connection then perhaps the other plug has an issue.....corrosion, loose connection etc etc. transfer switch connection .....does your boat have an isolation transformer installed.

Sorry I am not familiar with all shore power going thru an inverter.

When I was younger many years ago I used to crew for a 65' Huckins Yacht. We visited many ports from NJ to Key West and the Bahamas. The most important job I had when we docked was to first check the shore power connection voltage and configuration before plugging in. There were many time where the pod on the dock was incorrectly wired. Since then I haven't trusted any marina before a quick check on the dock.

With shore power disconnected, I'd open the panel up where that switch is (the circled one in the OP pic) and check all the wires going into it to make sure they're tight and no corrosion is evident. Should be pretty simple to do and not cost anything.

Take some pics of what's back there too.

You could also do the same at the aft shore power inlet and where the breakers are located for that aft inlet.

Thanks KM1125. I finally was able to do more testing. Probed the circuit breaker on swimplatform and one of the HOT is not getting a full 110V. I removed the circuit breaker but it has no marking on what amp it is.

Anyone know what size circuit breaker I need
