Hull type?

Post by nightsky »

I have always had full displacement hulls in the 3 commercial fish boats I owned prior to buying my 390. Not being totally sure of what type of hull this would be classified as, I thought I would ask this forum. Is the 390 Carver considered a planing hull or semi-displacement? I'm thinking that as it only draws 3'3" that it would be a planing hull. What say you?

Definitely planing with hard, flat shines (to aid in planing and stability) and a fairly shallow deadrise.
