What is known for sure is winter is coming. What kind of winter it will be is not known although there have been predictions. I have to admit that fall has been fantastic at least here where I live. My last short trip out yesterday prior to pulling was wonderful. Near 70* and sunny. A bit on the windy side but for that short trip on the Detroit River it was simply perfect.

Could not have asked for a more perfect day to end my season.

What is known for sure is that winter follows fall and that means that winter is coming ready or not. We have had a really nice fall so far here where I live. Most of the leaves are still on the trees and the colors are nice to see.

Yesterday was my last short trip on my boat prior to pulling for the winter. It was a picture perfect day. Nearly 70* and sunny. A bit on the windy side but still a perfect day for a short cruise up the Detroit River prior to pulling my boat for the winter.

The gales of November could come at any time so it was time to get out. Yesterday was a picture perfect ending to my 2016 boating season.

unfortunately, winter has arrived in PA. We had a mild fall, but its now 14 degrees f and 15 mph winds all from the north west.
Maybe after the wall on the Mexican border, Trump can build a snow fence on the northern border.

We had an awesome fall here in Michigan too. Right now its 6* outside so no boating anytime soon. We had our first snowfall of the season last Sunday/Monday and we ended up with 10" of the white stuff on the ground. With the cold its not going to melt anytime soon.

On the bright side we are one day closer to spring and spring launch for us up here in the northland.

I have heard that this winter is going to be warm and short.....hope so as no FL for us this winter...

I need to listen to that station - I have heard the exact opposite - "Old school Canadian winter"!

I hope your right and I'm wrong....

I have heard all three versions of this coming winter..... I am betting on lots of snow. Higher than usual Jet stream path bring cold NW wind of a warm Lake Huron and Georgian bay...... get the shovels out.... :banghead:

Well, it seems me and the pyramids were completely wrong, I will only be getting my forecasts from you guys in the future :-D ....old school it was around here anyway...10' beside driveway..only good thing was we escaped for a month down to the unusually warm for Jan., florida......hope some melts this weekend....... :beergood:

Think of what it'll do for the water levels!! Oh, I forgot, they'll probably just drop the levels anyway. :banghead:
