The Dash
We are new to the snow bird live on board community in the Punta Gorda area, our floating home is a 1987 Carver 42 Aft. Although we adopted The Dash in 2014, we are now getting to know its secrets up close. We are looking forward to any season advice we get, and assistance in solving (or where to go to) the many challenges that boating brings. So far we love to live on The Dash.

Re: The Dash
Welcome aboard! You have found the right site. I am also a new Carver 405 owner. I was fortunate enough to land here. The knowledge and experience of the members have saved me time, money, and painful learning experiences.
I hope to be living aboard in 2018. We'll be between the Michigan and the north Channel of lake Huron.
Welcome.

Re: The Dash
Welcome aboard.
I had a 4207 and new that boat up and down, in and out. Hopefully I can help as needed.
One nice feature I had was a pair of D2 Kahlenbergs, which required a nice air compressor and storage tank. I mounted it under the bridge cowl, and then proceeded to run a air line down to the engine room. Very useful having compressed air down there! And the horns were cool too.

Re: The Dash
Big blocks but I bet they look small in that engine compartment! Easy to work on them in there.
