Hi,
I have a Kohler 8E on my 405. I have just replaced the plugs, impeller and the belt. This week is "change oil week' in everything. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to what type of oil to use in the generator? The spec calls for 20W 40. This oil doesn't seem to be readily available.....any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Generator Oil
Most folks I know are very happy with Rotella 15-40, and you can buy it at Wal-Mart and other places pretty cheap.

Re: Generator Oil
Yep, I will second that. Rotella 15w 40 is what I used in my gas generator and also now in my diesel generator.
