1999 350 Rear cockpit door cushion pad

Post by ChiefDaveD »

Does anyone know how to remove the cushion pad from the top of the rear cockpit door that leads to the swim platform? I cannot figure it out. Took the door off the hinges and looked up through the cavity and there are no screws or anchors visible. We got all the other 4 off with no problems but cannot get the one on the door off. Any advise or recommendations would be welcome.

Welcome to the forum........I think if you do a forum search, recently I remember ramsport answering that same question....I believe he said it was glued down but please don't quote me ( brain is a little old )....check it out.....good luck with your boat...... :beergood:
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I removed mine a couple years ago, but do not remember exactly how. I know I did not remove the door and it was not glued down. I believe there was a couple of plastic strips on the inside that was screwed to the door, but I would have to look this weekend to be sure.

Check out the forum under :The Project Center attention 350 Mariner owners for ideas. It seems others were glued but mine came loose easily after taking out the two screws.

The two screws everyone is referring to are on the cockpit side face of the door just below the edge of the pad.....just came back from boat.... :beergood:
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Thanks for the timely replies. I didn't see any screws around the edge of pad but I'll take a closer look next trip to the boat.

Does the pad have a zipper on it? Maybe pull the foam out and there are screws inside?
Thanks

No zipper and still haven't figured it out. No screws as mentioned above. We want to have them re-covered but still cannot figure it out. Has to be a way but cannot figure it out. Might have to call CV and ask them perhaps.
