Has anyone installed a Seaweed davit system on their Mariner

Not on a Mariner but I've had to do repairs due to arms breaking off at pivot points so unfortunately they don't rank high on my list as a good option. Perhaps some members here have had other experiences with them.

Yes they were, the ones with articulating/adjustable arms. If you have a heavy dinghy and motor, they will put a lot of stress on the joints. Nothing to worry about while static but when you're underway and hopping around in a chop, the stress on those joints is tremendous. The assemblies aren't that easy to stow and will always be in the way which really reduces the amount of enjoyable space on the platform. That said, not many designs are ideal ones.

I don't currently have one. Going to upgrade to a bigger dinghy so I won't install anything until I decide on one first. Would prefer to keep the dinghy horizontal but there are pros and cons to both horizontal and vertical mounts. The dinghy will dictate the davit I go with. I've also installed Hurleys and Dinghy Caddys. Both are nice units for the money.
