Auto Bilge pumps inop
I have discovered that my auto bilge pumps which are supported by seperate CB are inop. All three pumps work fine when selected on at the helm. I checked one float switch by jumping wires and no pump action just to be sure all three float switches had not gone bad. I reset the auto bilge pump circuit breakers to no affect. Any good ideas?

Re: Auto Bilge pumps inop
Check voltage on the output of the breaker to make sure it's good.
There usually should also be a fuse in-line. The fuse protects from a locked rotor condition. The breaker just protects the wires to the pumps and switches.
It would be weird if all three fuse burned at the same time, especially because they all were probably not running at the same time.

Re: Auto Bilge pumps inop
Thanks for quick reply, Carver called me back and sent wiring schematic. Jeff there was very helpful and suggested the main dc breaker that feads circuit has failed. Will pull fire extinguisher out that blocks the back of circuit breaker panel in morning and do some checking. Hopefully I wont spring a leak tonight.
