dinghy lifts

Post by bud37 »

Looking to install something to hold dinghy level when travelling, have always towed ( have two sets of weaver davits, standoffs and a transom bracket in the garage ,lol).....but I have seen this dinghy caddy outfit ( local guy) that seems cool,.....does anyone have any experience with this good or bad...need some feedback, thanks...... :beergood:
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

They're a good unit. You'll need to take some measurements to ensure get the right size for your dinghy and you may not be able to use it because of the size of your platform, you'll need to take some measurements. Go to their website and check the measurements you need to take first. I like the fact that it's basically out of the way when it's in the water, and can double up as a ladder. If you talk to them about that, they may be able to customize a bit to make that feature better. The pulleys makes it very easy to get the dinghy out of the water and so far every owner I know has been happy with their choice.

As long as you don't have a hallow swim platform, the installation (thru-bolting) is pretty easy otherwise it'll be a challenge but that problem will exist no matter which system you go with.
