As Viper said I'd be checking all the fuel system hoses and It may not be a bad idea to change them all out for new any way since they r 35 years old and if they were ever introduced to ethanol gas their integrity may very well compromised from the inside out. IMO

That is quite an interesting old carb there, holley spread bore, top lifts off, didn't make them long..... see if you can find a list number, check the side of the air horn...number like 80 something...definitely marine but to get rebuild kits you may need the list number.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I think this is the kit you need, but please verify before purchase.

I looked thru an old holley book I had and those carbs are along the lines of a 4011( 600/650 cfm ) which may have the list number on the side of the air horn....maybe 84023 or something close..
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

The originals were likely Rochester Quadrajets, but Q-Jets are a pain to rebuild or fix. So some folks switch to a Holley - less complex, easier to work on, but less fuel-efficient than a Q-Jet. You can buy a rebuild kit for either one at NAPA for about $40. The Q-Jet has a complex setup of little metering rods and a delicate float setup, but runs great when set up right. The spread-bore Holley is easier to work with and cost less money. You probably would not see much of a fuel consumption difference unless you are using the boat over 500 hours a year.

Holley 4100 series carbs were used as simpler / less expensive alternative to the Rochester carb. 4100's are spread bore and the ones on my '94 370 aft cabin, you could throw a good size squirrel down the secondaries. Just rebuilt the one of my starboard engine due to fuel leak down the throat (float needles no longer sealing and the kit was only about $50. These are MUCH easier for DIY rebuild than the Rochesters. One thing though - order some extra gaskets for the float adjustment screws (big ones on top). A couple of loose / tighten usually shreds the gasket and kit only come with one set.
