1990 42 ft Carver motor yacht

Post by Mystic144 »

Hello
Can anyone please tell me what the clearance is from the waterline to the top of the arch.
Yachtworld says 20 feet but that seems way to much for a 42 foot boat.
Thanks

Might be a tad high but can't be "way too much". My 36 with no arch or hardtop is 14'. A stock arch would probably get me to 18 easy and put a radar on the arch and I'd be thinking 20.

Twenty feet with nothing mounted on top is pretty close.
A 4207 is a big boat, more like 48 feet overall.

When they first moved my boat to their new heated storage building north of town, two guys stood on the boat as it went down the street on the trailer with plastic pipes lifting the power lines hanging across the street.

The next year all the lines were lifted by the power company to allow clearance. I think the marina paid for it.
Thanks

A 4207 has a minimum bridge height of 13 feet. With the radar arch and radar or other antenna, that goes to 19.5 feet. So a 20 foot bridge height is about right if you have the radar arch and something mounted on it. 8-)
