Interior lighting
Looking at a 1999 Carver 406 and almost every interior light lens is broken or missing. Need to replace the lenses and while I am at it the halogen bulbs with LED's. Can anyone tell me where to purchase the lenses and LED's?

Re: Interior lighting
Welcome to the forum.....if all your lights are original, they are no longer available......someone posted a while back on the forum and the lights they got looked great, they may be what SJD has posted above ,can't remember.... have a look, they are easily upgraded and changed out.....good luck.......

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Re: Interior lighting
Hi if oem they are hera es 1 halogen. You mention lenses be cracked / missing. I wonder if you don't really mean the decor rings. Its true that the rings are pretty much non existant now however if you do mean the g lass lenses they can still be found. See link below. These people did carry all the hera parts for the es series but now only show stock on the lenses. They do offer some other options. Once on the site scroll down till you get to the es1 section. I had ordered from them in the past they were helpful. I have another link I will try and find but there will be limited if any parts there also. Good luck

Re: Interior lighting
I have replaced mine (as have others on this board) with ones from Home Depot.

Re: Interior lighting
Very helpful posts, as I just bought my Carver last month and noted several lights were burned out, and the ones that weren't were very hot! I will be replacing them all with the above mentioned Dream Lighting! Thanks all!

Darylann, if your light fixtures and lenses are in good shape you can just purchase LED G6 12 volt bulbs for them. Very simple fix.

That's what I did a few years ago. Just about any bulb you have on your boat will have an LED equivalent.
My incandescent bulbs were very hot...hot enough to burn skin. LED's much less heat and I believe they only use about 10% of the power used by incandescents.

Re: Interior lighting
The main problem that we encountered was the fixtures themselves, very brittle from all the heat cycles....so even though they looked fine when came time to take apart to replace the bulbs with leds, many of the trim rings cracked and broke then would not fit.I got enough new ones ( a set from HD), then used the good parts from the old ones that were removed to refit the others that we just replaced the bulbs in.Even with that they still broke easily and at some point going to have to buy more.......

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
