Charger noise
I have a 3bank C Charger , 3000 series that has a loud continuous hummm. Can this noise be stopped or can anyone recommend a good noise free charger. THANKS!

Re: Charger noise
I installed a new ProMariner; makes no noise.
I also have Charles 3 bank that does not make noise, so I am guessing yours is failing.

Re: Charger noise
An easy way to test it is to do a float test. Remove the charger from the boat and place it in water. If it fails to float then you need a new one.

Re: Charger noise
Charles has (or at least had) a fixed rate rebuild program for there chargers. Very through and much less money then replacing them. They were great to work with and it took about two weeks.

Re: Charger noise
Thanks all. Tried the float test and determined my charger was going bad. Purchased a Promariner.
