Fortunately down here in the states we still use Fahrenheit so we should have no more single digit temps until next winter.

Spring is here and boats will be in the water soon. I drove to my marina yesterday and there is one boat already in.

Unless there's a sudden quick thaw, we don't expect to see boats in the water until the second to third week of April in my neck of the woods. That's about 1-2 weeks later than average. That gives those in the trade less time to commission everyone before the May 24 long weekend which is when all boaters expect to be up and running. Temps affect the window of opportunity to paint bottoms and polish hull sides prior to launch so it's a waiting game now. Add to that good temps periodically but sweating hulls and the window gets even smaller. Going to be a busy Spring!

Still got 4' snow drifts between boats....only good thing is no need for a ladder and scaffold to polish hull....just stand on the snow....
....
Yup, at least 2 weeks late IMO. One of the local marinas has their work boat in now breaking up ice in the marina.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Good morning.....well we are now at 3 Weeks to golf/boating....the bay has refrozen, last week the guys went out to the Tomb ( local island on Georgian Bay ) on snowmobiles, it is -10 C this morning.....to the casual observer it would seem we are going in the wrong direction this year....but nevertheless I will forge ahead and put the engines back together this week....they want to take the shrink off....
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.
