Forward vent fan
I have a noisey forward head vent fan. I called Carver factory and was referred to a vendor for replacement but vendor referred me to a dealer that said the vendor didn't make the blower 3" squirrel cage vent fan. Anyone know a source for this fan?

Re: Forward vent fan
It would be nice if one of them could give you the specs. You may need to remove it so that you can take measurements in hopes of finding something similar. Hopefully someone here has gone through the same thing with a similar Voyager and can chime in.

Re: Forward vent fan
Not sure if you need a OEM vent fan or not, but if you don't I recently did a replacement with one of these - works great. It was the OEM on my Maxum.

Does it look like this one? I have these for both heads for vent fans. One has become noisy and squeals:

Re: Forward vent fan
Check a local electrical rebuilder. These guys can usually respin any 12v motor with their eyes closed. I had them do one for me on my last boat and it was half the price of a replacement blower - which was backordered anyways.

Re: Forward vent fan
I would think any 3" blower fan would work, only difference is CFM, generally 105 to 150 cfm, and whether inline fan or mounted fan like the picture showed. Just check any boating parts supplier for blower fans and find a size that fits.
