4207 on Prop Depth.

Postby agskinner1 » March 30th, 2014, 10:22 pm

Hi Folks,
Has anyone with a 4207 happen to know what the distance is from the keel bottom, to the bottom of the propellors? I would like to be able to bring the boat up on our Club's Tidal Grid next month, but , I need to know the measurement from the keel bottom, to the bottom of the propellors, so that I don't wind up bending the propellors. Has anyone got a schematic drawng of this model?
Thanks for your help

Contact Carver and supply the year and model of you yacht. Ask for what the draft is.

Maybe this will help:
This is a pic of our 1989 4207 with gas engines
(buy one with diesels - you won;t like the gas!)

Thanks for the picture, it helps a lot! I don't know why I didn't take pictures of our 1989 4207 when it was on the hard. It has the 375 hp 3208's and they are great, but the boat really needs at least 420 hp diesels to make it perform well.
You wouldn't happen to have any pictures from the side would you?
Thanks
Al

Just had a look at your photobucket pictures, your boat is in beautiful shape. Is it a fresh water boat? The other picture of the boat bottom reassures me that I should have no problem putting our boat on the tidal grid at our yacht club. the keel is deep enough to keep the props well away from the grid bottom. At $400.00 + to haul a boat these days, I'll use our own grid for $30.00 a day anytime.
thanks again

We sold the 4207. I was so worn out trying to drive that underpowered dog. Beautiful boat though. It was always fresh water.
So I bought the cougar to go fast.
Wife hates the cougar, so I bought here the 3697.
We are looking for a 4207 diesel project boat cheap enough that I could do in 500 up cats.
I drove one one, what a joy!
Thanks
