I have a 1987 Carved Aft Cabin. Anyone have an idea where I can purchase new rectangular port lites. Just need the plastic lenses, and new knurled knobs. Could use a part number for these. Not getting too far with Pompanette.
Thanks
Dave

Re: Port lites
There are some threads on here with the part numbers. Pompanette does have them and you can also find them slightly less expensive if you poke around on the Net (even though they come from Pompanette anyways)

Re: Port lites
Are they Bomar units? Did you try contacting Carver with your hull number and asking them for part number and manufacturer info? They're good at proving that. It may help in sourcing the replacements.

Re: Port lites
I did speak with a Carved rep. He did politely refer me to Pompanette. I have called them twice, spoke with a somewhat abrupt lady who said she would have someone contact me, never happened. Would like to obtain the part number. My boat was made from 1983-1989 with the same port lites.

Re: Port lites
83 to 89 didn't have all the same lites. The 83-85ish had smaller ones than the later years. You'll notice that the later years only have two larger portlights on each side for the aft cabin (and head) but the earlier years had three smaller ones. I'm not sure of what sizes were on the forward ones in the later years. Mine are all the same - roughly 16" measured on the clear portion of the portlite
