Heck guys, last year I manually cleaned out my holding tank with a spade and bucket through the sending unit hole to the tune of about 3 gallons of mess. What worked surprisingly well was a cheap charcoal infused face mask. Really could not smell a thing. My wife was on shore the whole time and told me it reeked to high heaven from there.

Glad to see another owner with the same issue. Please tell me how to access the unit in the Master Bedroom. I can see it but have not figured out how to get to it.

Well the forward head stopped working, the plunger deal was just a temp fix. Went into the forward cave and pulled it apart. Was surprised how easy it was to complete the job. Took all of 30 mins simply because I had no idea what I was doing. I had read up on it a bit but not much out there. Went by the parts diagram to open it up. I do have the whisper pump unit Version 4 so it may be easier on these. 4 bolts and unscrew the hose attached to it. Now you can get to the 4 duck bills. Was waiting for a bunch of water or whatever to pour out but not a drop. Smell was only slight also. Very satisfied on how well this went. The duck bills were definitely dead meat and the problem.

Well the master stateroom unit failed entirely Sunday when we left the boat. Decided to go out today after work and tackle this so I won't need to do this on the weekend. Made for a messy stinky job as I could not empty the lines properly. Bottom line is about 10 years and you are about ready to swap some parts before it is too late. I will be doing duckbills every 6-7 years just to be safe. $30 for 4 which does one head is rather inexpensive. Here is a picture on how to access the rear stateroom unit. Not all that bad for access being it is a boat. Did the entire unit including bellows on this one.
Panel under left night table needs to come out. 3 screws on the left side and 1 on the right. Suggest removing the 2 screws on the AC intake panel (2 screws) just to the right of it under the bed for more wiggle room to get the panel out.
