Hi guys! I noticed water around the shaft of the starboard rudder shaft. Port side is dry as a bone. Anyone have this happen? 360 Sport Sedan.
Thanks in advance, Andrew

Re: Rudder water leak
Normal, maybe packing needs a small adjustment.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Yes you can if you can get to it ..
....google it and watch someone do this if you have never done this before.....have a look in your manual, there should be a drawing of the rudder parts, from that you can see the locknut and how it works....loosen lock nut ,tighten one flat, re-lock and see what happens.....the procedure I have used on packing is generally to loosen till it leaks to flush it then re tighten till you are happy. Good luck man.

yes tightening and it can be done on t h e water. search for a Youtube video it may help you visualize the packing nuts and how to tighten them.

Thanks guys, did some searching, I understamd better the concept. I will try the tightening . but, for sure they probably need the new packing. No a major amount of water, but I love the look of a clean engine room.
