Yes. Only difference is dipstick on mine.
Oh well.... Expensive lesson learned.

It's a boat. Unfortunately, almost all lessons are expensive ones. Good luck getting the issue fixed.

Don't beat yourself up, was nothing you did or didn't do, there was no way for you to know....just bad luck with a poorly designed cooler location, IMO.
FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

Yea... my admiral at home is telling me to put it behind me and move on. I am trying.
I did meet with the tranny expert and will be purchasing a rebuilt from him for $2,300.00. He suggested that I change the tranny fluid yearly when changing the engine oil. He also suggested that the tranny filters can be changed as well. Gosh... I didn't even know that transmissions had filters that required changing!
He suggested that the cooler, which is made from copper, be replaced every 10-12 years. I am going on Viper's time line of a 5 year plan. At $140.00 a pop it is worth it. Thanks all.
