May have figured it out....replaced the ignition relay and so far after three runs and shut downs could not duplicate problem of continuining to run...

That may have been the solution- replacing ignition relay ...after three normal runs with shutdowns could not duplicate the issue of having the motor contining to run...

do you have two stations? If so there is most likely a relay somewhere for the ignition circuit.
I don't believe an alternator diode would cause this issue.
